Meet the directors, designers, and creative staff behind Tiger Drama at Lewis & Clark High School.
Department Director
Sydney Baird Childers is a Spokane-area theatre educator and director whose productions have earned recognition through Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre Awards. Her work also includes interdisciplinary projects connecting theatre with science and STEM.
Associate Director
Suzanne Maguire brings a background in theatre, education, and student support to Tiger Drama. She holds degrees in Speech Communication/Theatre and Educational Leadership and is active with Washington Thespians.
Choreographer
Angela Pierson has taught at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center in New York and toured with USA Dance. Her choreography credits include CDA Summer Theatre, Eastern Washington University, and Tiger Drama.
Season Photographer
Richard Maguire documents Tiger Drama productions, headshots, and the students behind them. A longtime supporter of the program, his photography can be seen at richmagphoto.com.
Costume Designer
Lisa Caryl-Vukas designs costumes for Tiger Drama and for theatre, film, and television productions throughout the Spokane area. Her work on The Music Man received a 5th Avenue High School Musical Theatre Award.
Costume Designer
Pauletta Caryl designs and builds costumes for Tiger Drama. Her credits include Big Fish, Frozen, Cinderella, Into the Woods, and The Curious Savage.
Musical Director
Carolyn Jess is an experienced musical director whose work spans more than 100 productions throughout the Spokane area. Her Tiger Drama credits include Beauty and the Beast, Big Fish, Frozen, and Mean Girls.
